Are you hoping to raise a future therapy dog?
This workshop is designed for budding handlers who are hoping to enter the field of animal-assisted services (either professionally or as a volunteer) and are raising a puppy that they already have (or hope to get in the near future) to be a future therapy dog.
There are lots of little tips and tricks that we as experienced therapy dog trainers have learned over the years that have helped us to nurture the personality traits in younger dogs that are absolutely crucial for a long career as a Therapy Dog. We have developed some MUST KNOW content to help you get your young dogs off to the best possible start for a long career as a therapy dog and handler team.
We are passionate about raising happy, healthy, confident, friendly, even-tempered and well-mannered dogs, while problem-solving common behavioural issues along the way (mouthing, toileting, barking, guarding) as well as avoiding separation anxiety.
This workshop is delivered by dog training professionals who are experienced in the field of animal-assisted therapy, we know exactly what skills your dog needs to LOVE their job.
There is time to answer individual questions during the workshop, so you can ask about your dog.
